Controller
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree or
recognised Technical qualification in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Document
Management, Database Development, Information Imaging, Computer
Networking and associated PC applications.
- Exposure to the commercial aspects of an
appropriate industry.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa
Malaysia.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kuala
Lumpur or a clients' offices as required.
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens.
- Permanent positions (2 positions).
Background:
- The Document Controller operates within the
company’s Business Solutions Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This
principally covers document management, information control, information
imaging and database population for Clients as required by the company’s
ongoing project related activities. The Document Controller shall also
support activities that are associated with the design and development
of Information Management Systems.
Purpose:
- To effectively control the management,
revision and issue of client’s documentation with full responsibility
for quality and delivery.
- To contribute to the development of internal
company documentation and information management systems for ODL-SB.
- Project Management Support
Principal Accountabilities:
- To participate in the complete cycle of
document control and information management from system study and
design, database population and management and ongoing support services.
- To support in the set-up and ongoing operation
of document control centres. This will include:
- The receipt and registration of incoming
documentation, drawings and associated work as required by the
project.
- The incorporation and issue of amendments to
controlled documentation and drawings held in Information Management
Centres.
- The distribution of documentation and
drawings in accordance with prescribed distribution lists /
procedures.
- The maintenance of documentation records and
databases to accurately reflect document status and history.
- The maintenance of filing systems as
required.
- To liase with clients to ensure that
requirements are clearly identified and, where necessary, directed to
the appropriate departments.
- To ensure the traceability of all ‘loaned
out' documentation by way of the rigorous implementation of document
issue/ loan procedures.
- Shall assist in the implementation and
‘population', at the appropriate time, of both the clients and/or
company's chosen Electronic Document Management System (training
required).
To support the development of system,
administrator and user documentation.
To support the development of training
material.
To support the development/review of proposals
involving workscopes coving document control and information management.
To provide comprehensive and timely weekly
Project Activity Reports on projects to the Technical Manager.
To protect and enhance the company reputation.
